From a mobile van to a Katherine icon
The Black Russian started in 2016 as a mobile caravan cafe on the lawns behind the Katherine Visitor Information Centre — and it was so well received it settled in the courtyard for good.
Coffee, toasties and cakes, every day. It’s weathered the 2026 floods, raised money one coffee at a time, and even runs a sister venue across town, Maiden’s Lane.
